Tips of the Day

  • In order to create the netting for the "U.S. Brig Niagara" page, you need eyelets to set the holes. Weave string through the very top hole and down to the hole on the very far bottom right. Weave the string back up through the very top hole and then weave through the second hole in from the right Repeat the until you have weaved the string through all of the holes along the bottom row. To do the left hand side, start the hole on the far right.

  • I, randomly, placed happy face stickers on the "Oops!" layout and then enhanced some of the happy faces with googly eyes.

Oops!

  • Originally, I had divided up the photo into 6 equal squares. After setting the pieces aside for weeks, I lost one of the pieces to the photo. So I covered the area by using a metal frame and putting a caption.

U.S. Brig Niagara

  • I got to tour the U.S. Brig Niagara in June 2008. It was a brig in the United States Navy during the War of 1812. I had taken about 25 photos, so in order to display all of them I had to print them as wallet size photos. I displayed them in a book format with 4 to 5 photos per book. If you take a closer look, you can open each book to view the photos. Each book opens in a different direction.
